GEAR INSPECTION

TO ALL ACTIVE MEMBERS:

THERE ARE NEW NATIONAL CERTIFICATION STANDARDS THAT OUR FIRE COMPANY IS BEING REQUIRED TO COMPLY WITH. IN LIGHT OF THIS, WE WILL BE CONDUCTING GEAR INSPECTIONS ON TWO DATES IN FEBRUARY.

ALL FIREFIGHTERS, FIRE POLICE, AND EMTS ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND ONE OF THE TWO DATES. YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO BRING ALL ITEMS ISSUED TO YOU BY THE FIRE COMPANY. THIS INCLUDES MINITOR, PORTABLE RADIO, BUNKER GEAR, SPARE SET OF BUNKER GEAR, AND ALL COMPONENTS OF THE DRESS UNIFORM. THE INSPECTION WILL BE CONDUCTED BY THE FIRE CHIEF OR HIS DESIGNATED LINE OFFICERS.

IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO THE SAFETY OF OUR MEMBERS THAT ALL OF THIER GEAR IS IN GOOD CONDITION. THE DATES OF THE INSPECTIONS WILL BE 02/03/2009 FROM 6PM UNTIL 8PM AND 02/08/2009 BETWEEN 5PM AND 8PM.

WE DO REALIZE THAT OUR MEMBERS HAVE JOBS AND A LIFE OUTSIDE OF THE FIRE COMPANY. IF FOR SOME REASON YOU CANNOT ATTEND ON EITHER DATE, PLEASE CONTACT CHIEF DAVE MCLAIN TO RESCHEDULE.

DIAMOND HEART PENDANT RAFFLE

Our Fire Company is currently holding a raffle for a one carat Diamond Heart Pendant set in white and yellow gold. The estimated value of this item is $1,195.00.

This piece was donated by NYE JEWELERS located in the Rt.6 Fashion Mall in Dickson City. We thank NYE JEWELERS for thier continued support for our Fire Company and community.

The drawing will be held at the Spring Brook Vol. Fire Co. on December 13th at 8pm. Tickets are two dollars each or three for five dollars.

To purchase tickets please call 570-842-3658 and ask for BONNIE or you can stop by the Firehouse on any Tuesday night between 730pm and 9pm.

ROAST BEEF DINNER

A FAMILY STYLE BEEF DINNER WILL BE HELD AT THE SPRING BROOK VOLUNTEER FIRE COMPANY ON SATURDAY OCTOBER 15TH

IT WILL START AT 4:00 PM AND RUN UNTIL 7:00 PM. IT WILL BE HELD AT THE FIRE HALL ON THE CORNER OR RT 690 & 502.

PRICING IS AS FOLLOWS. ADULTS- $7.50 AND CHILDREN UNDER 12- $4.00. TAKEOUTS ARE AVAILABLE SO COME OUT AND SUPPORT YOUR FIRE COMPANY AND SPEND SOME TIME WITH FRIENDS.
